Mrs. Peggy McSwain, 85, of Graham died at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11:49 a.m. following a short illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Hoyt Mercer and Norva Cook Mercer, both deceased. Mrs. McSwain retired from Lucent Technologies and AT&T. She was a member and former organist of the First Baptist Church of Graham.
Survivors include four children, Deborah McSwain Hayes and husband Johnny of Murrells Inlet, SC, Perry McSwain of the home, Jayson McSwain of Graham and Leanne McSwain Shook of Graham and two grandchildren, Jon Paul Hayes and Jay Wes Hayes, both of Murrells Inlet, SC.
A graveside service will be conducted at Graham Memorial Park on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Travis Russell.
