McCue (Burlington, NC); her children Ann (Jeff) Gross (Fishkill, NY), John (Tracy Page) McCue (Mebane, NC), and Jennifer McCue (Bahama, NC) (Gregg Feller); her grandchildren, Alice Owens (Utah) and Mitchell McCue (Mebane, NC); her siblings, Judy Hand and Reginald Ferguson (Morris, NY); and her sister-in-law Dorothy McCue (Staunton, VA). Pauline grew up and attended school in Rochester, NY (including time in a one room schoolhouse). She moved to Morris, NY as a high school senior and graduated from Gilbertsville, NY Central School. She then attended School of Commerce business school in Rochester and worked for over a decade as an executive secretary at Kodak. Prior to her marriage she attended Rochester’s First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the young adult club.

On April 12, 1958, Pauline married Paul E. MCCue in Trinity Episcopal Church (Lowville, NY). The couple lived in Rochester and Pauline adopted Paul’s daughter Ann. John and Jennifer were born in the early 1960s and Pauline retired from Kodak to become a stay-at-home mother. During this time, the family attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Rochester. In 1972, they moved to Fairport, NY and became parishioners of St. Matthias Episcopal Church, East Rochester, NY.

After raising her children, Pauline began a volunteer career at Highland Hospital, Rochester. She enjoyed her 11 years at the hospital and also became close friends with fellow volunteers Esther and Doris. She retired from Highland in order to go travel-trailer camping with Paul. The couple spent many years camping throughout the United States and Canada. They also took a memorable bed and breakfast trip through England which Pauline enjoyed immensely.

In 2005, Pauline and Paul moved to Graham, NC. They then joined St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Haw River, NC.

As a result of severe arthritis and congestive heart failure, Pauline moved to Liberty Commons Nursing Facility (Burlington, NC) in the Spring of 2021. The family is grateful for the excellent care she received there.

Pauline was an excellent cook and she enjoyed gardening, birding, reading and walking. She also enjoyed politics, crossword puzzles and old movies.
