Patricia Ruth Gibson, of Mebane, North Carolina, passed away peacefully July 26, 2018 at Presbyterian Home of Hawfields in Mebane, NC.
Born on June 9, 1935 in Swepsonville, NC., to the late Woodrow and Helen Phillips.
Pat was a devout and gracious lady, loved life and all the treasures that the Lord bestowed on her.
She moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1967 where she lived an abundant life as a wife, mother, grandmother and serving the Lord and others.
During her years raising her 2 boys Tony and Chris, she was a member of Oakland Park Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed teaching others how to love the Lord.
She later became a member of Abundant Life Christian Center where she continued loving, teaching, and serving the Lord, the only way she knew.
Pat loved cooking and dishing out a great meal. Her love for food and cooking brought her a career in the deli at Publix for many years, where she could share her passion and continue serving others.
Known as grandma to Brittany and GP to Christopher and Rebecca she cherished her grandchildren like no others. Always a babysitter, but first and most importantly, a loving, giving and supportive grandmother.
After retiring she returned to her hometown area where she continued enjoying life, playing trivia, spending time in the chapel, and using her artistic talents creating beautiful paintings.
Survived by her children Chris(Stephanie) of Orlando, FL, Tony(Donna) of NY, grandchildren Brittany, Christopher & Rebecca. Sisters, Linda Morrow, Lisa Campos, and brother Robert W Phillips(Buddy).
Services are being held at Rich & Thompson in Graham, NC on Monday, July 30th, 2018 at 3:00pm, with the family receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service.
