Patricia Ann Workman Chrismon, 93, of Hillsborough passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 5, 2022 following her declining health since April 2021.
A native of Burlington, NC, she was the wife of the late Ira S. “Jake” Chrismon and the daughter of Sidney Russell Workman and Thelma Starcher Workman, both deceased. She was a graduate of the Women’s College in Greensboro (now UNC-G). Patricia was a very devoted mother, homemaker, gardener, artist and quilter. She was generous and loving, always pleasant to family, visitors and caregivers. She was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church. Most recently, she worshipped with Hayes Barton Baptist Church via their televised weekly services.
Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Barbara C. Rodgers and husband Jim of Hillsborough, NC, Miss Sandra A. Chrismon of Mebane, NC, and Kay C. Flack of Mebane, NC; grandchildren, Myra Wood of Virginia Beach, VA, Russell Ross and wife Emily of Hillsborough, James Rodgers, Jr. and wife Heather of Matthews, NC, and Shane Gibbs of Gibsonville, NC; three great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Patricia was preceded in death by her only cousin, Barbara Sommerville, of Lubbock, TX.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
Patricia was a breast cancer survivor from 2009. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society,
