Nelida Jumilla Gulisano

Nelida Jumilla Gulisano, 85, of Burlington, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at her home.

A native of Entre Rios, Argentina, she was the wife of the late Jorge S. Gulisano and the daughter of the late Eusebio Jumilla and the late Carmen Folgado Jumilla.

Mrs. Gulisano was a former art teacher and seamstress. She was an avid knitter, reader and world traveler.

Mrs. Gulisano is survived by her daughter, Monica Lyall and her husband, Sebastian, of Burlington and her son, Jose L. Gulisano and his wife, Monica, of Chapel Hill; seven grandchildren, Patricia, Ivan, Steven, Amir, Cristian, Arianna and Daniel; four great-grandchildren, Gabriela, Alex, Alena and Eve and two sisters, Carmen Freiberg and Carlota Lamotte.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gulisano was preceded in death by her siblings, Delia Lafarga, Raul Jumilla, Matilde Viola and Federico Jumilla.

The family will receive friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington, Friday, August 16, from 6:00 until 8:00.

A private inurnment will take place Saturday, August 18, in the columbarium in Pine Hill Cemetery.
