Nannie "Tootie" Riley

Mrs. Nannie “Tootie” Riley, 80, of Graham, passed away at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfield’s on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

A native of Durham County, she was the wife of Daffie L. Riley, and daughter of the late Vance Jones and Mary Tew Jones. Mrs. Riley was retired as Manager of Ausley Florist. She was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the Choir and working with the Fall Festivals. Tootie was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who cared deeply for those around her. She will always be remembered for her selfless, generous and kind heart. She lived her life with grace and compassion, making the world a better place with her acts of kindness.

Surviving, other than her husband of Graham, are a daughter, Angela Hundley and husband Phil of Graham; son, John L. Riley and fiancé Lisa of High Point; a granddaughter, Tessa Riley, of Graham; a host of cousins and longtime friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 20, at Hebron United Methodist Church with Rev. William Holliday and Dr. Joshua Goocey officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:30 PM prior to the service, and other times at the residence of Daffie Riley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hebron United Methodist Church, 2325 Mebane Oaks Rd., Mebane, NC 27302 or to the Presbyterian Home of Hawfield’s, 2502 S. NC Hwy 119, Mebane, NC 27302.

The family would like to thank friends and family for their love and encouragement. The family would also like to thank the staff at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfield’s for their kindness, care, and compassion through the years.
