Nancy Martin Stanfield

Nancy Martin Stanfield, 87, of Burlington, died on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Liberty Commons in Burlington.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late James Benjamin “J.B.” Stanfield and the daughter of Joseph Gordon Martin and Myrtle Hargrove Martin, both deceased. She retired from Western Electric and was a member of the Ladies Auxillary with the Burlington Shrine Club. Mrs. Stanfield was also member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and the Bivins Sunday School Class

Survivors include her sister, Ann Burnett of Burlington; brother, Gene Martin of Burlington; three sisters in law, Ruby Daves, Polly Martin, and Margaret Stanfield; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard Martin, Harold Martin, and Pat Martin.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Rev. Neal Salter will be officiating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 9 from 12:30 – 1:45 PM prior to the service at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington.
