Nancy R. Rich

Mrs. Nancy R. Rich, 89, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.

A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Rich was the wife of the late Freeman R. Rich and the daughter of the late J. Walter Moore and the late Annie Lou Robertson Moore.

Mrs. Rich is retired from Sellars Department Store and the Dress Barn. She was a member of Davis Street United Methodist Church and the Builder’s Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Grove Park Garden Club.

Mrs. Rich is survived by two sons, Coleman Rich of Burlington and David Rich and his wife, Jenny, of Guilford County; three grandchildren, Melissa Rich and her fiancé; Paul, Jacquelin Rich, Brian Fields and his wife, Heather; two great- grandchildren; a sister, Annie Joyce Moore Mason and a niece, Carole Matthews and her husband, Bill.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Rich was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Zane Moore.

The funeral service will be held at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 12:00 noon with the family receiving friends from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Officiating will be the Rev. Edgar DeJesus. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
