Mrs Nancy Gibson Edwards

Nancy Gibson Edwards, 74, of Mebane passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of John Edwards, who survives and the daughter of Norman Gibson and Edith McGee Gibson, both deceased. She retired from Contracts and Grants Services at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Nancy was a member of Hawfields Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Tracy Edwards and husband Dave of Gibsonville; son, J. W. Edwards of Mebane; five grandchildren, Ashton, Abigail, Sierra, Brooke, and Skylar; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Carolyn Bell, Sandra Wooten, and Connie Thompson; and two brothers, Chester Gibson and Dick Gibson.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. David Ealy with the family receiving friends following the service.
