Nancy Gerringer Dixon, 81, of Burlington passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at AuthroaCare Collective Hospice Home.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Richard Ronald “Ronnie” Dixon and the daughter of John Vance Gerringer and Melissa Morene Gerringer, both deceased.
Nancy retired from West Point Stevens where she worked as a Service Operator. She attended St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Tamara Dixon Anderson of Burlington; son, Tommy Dixon of Efland; step-son, David Dixon and his wife Cindy of Mebane; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jeanette Terry, Betty Terry, Bernice Moser and her husband Calvin, Sue Gerringer; brother, Larry Gerringer, numerous nieces and nephews, and a special companion for 33 years, Robert Walker, Jr.
In addition to her husband, Ronnie and her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Mae Dixon Wynn; and two brothers, Johnny Gerringer and Steve Gerringer.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. At other times the family will be at the home of Tamara Dixon Anderson.
