Milton Fredrick Clapp, 73, of Burlington passed away at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC on Sunday, June 20, 2021.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Mildred Brown Clapp, who survives and the son of Roscoe Fuller Clapp and Helen Rich Clapp, both deceased. He was a 1968 graduate of Southern Alamance High School. Milton retired from the Greensboro News and Record after 43 years of service. Because of his love for fishing, he and Mildred retired to their home in Buxton, NC which is located on Hatteras Island. He was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a daughter, Carmon Clapp Jones and husband Jeremy of Kinston, NC and two grandchildren, Lilly Claire Jones and Harrison Lynn Jones.
A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. by Pastor Tim Isley.
