Mr Millard C. "Henry" Young

Mr. Millard C. “Henry” Young, 71, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after two years of failing health.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of 49 years to Agnes Young, who survives, and son of the late William Saunders Young and Donnie Elizabeth Dixon Young. Mr. Young was retired from the US Army after 20 years of service and worked as an electrician. He was a member of the Gospel of Christ Baptist Church of Elon and a member of the Tabasco Masonic Lodge #271 AF & AM.

Surviving, other than his wife of the home, are a daughter, Jamie Elizabeth Young (Derek Rosen) of Mebane; two sons, Dennis Keith “Pete” Walker (Tammy) of Thomasville and Jeremy Calvin Young of Burlington; five grandchildren, Megan, Aiden, Casey, William and Bryant; four great grandchildren, Trenton, Wayne, Xzavier, and Lucas; four sisters, Betty Bailey, of McLeansville, Cathy McDaniel (Gary) of McLeansville, Carol Massey of Burlington, and Donna Powell of Gibsonville; a brother, Jerry Young (Mark) of Gibsonville; and a sister-in-law, Linda Young. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Snow; three brothers, Buddy Young, Glenn Young and Richard Young; a son, Harvey Walker; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Young.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 6, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with Rev. Robbie Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, at Rich & Thompson in Burlington and other times at the residence.
