Mildred Johnson Wall

Mrs. Mildred Johnson Wall, 87, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 6:18 p.m.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Paul Swanson Wall and the daughter of Joseph Howard Johnson, Sr. and Wonnie Baker Johnson, both deceased. She enjoyed cooking, Hallmark movies, playing cards, and raising her children and keeping her grandchildren. Mildred was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She loved singing in the choir and with her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Wall and wife Jo Ann of Burlington and Tony Wall and wife Janie of Burlington; five grandchildren, Wendy Smith and husband Shannon, Jason Wall and wife Donna, Stuart Wall and wife Vickie, Lauren Anthony and Dylan Faulkner; five great-grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Calli Rabon, Landon Smith, Paige Wall and Colton Durham; sister, Joan Tate; and two brothers, Buck Johnson and wife Betsy and Wesley Johnson and wife Joretta. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Wall; brother, Johnny Johnson; and sister, Vickie Marks Brinkley.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Todd Martin with the family receiving friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Other times the family will be at the home of a son, Gene Wall, 1935 Woodland Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215.
