Mr Shane Sharpe

Shane Sharpe, 67, of Liberty passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Carolyn Sharpe, who survives and the son of R. R. “Bud” Sharpe and Ruth Murrie Sharpe, both deceased. He was owner of Sharpe’s Custom Sawmilling and Woodcraft. Shane enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a successful drag racer. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a sister, Daune Sharpe of Burlington; brother, Phillip Sharpe of Gibsonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shane was preceded in death by his daughter, Leah Sharpe and five brothers, Anderson, Lewis, Richard, David, and Kenneth Sharpe.

A graveside service will be conducted at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. by Pastor Keith Edwards. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of the church following the service.
