Michael L. “Mike” Morton

Michael L. “Mike” Morton, 70, of Elon passed away at the Hospice Home on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 3:28 p.m.

A native of Alamance County, he is the husband of Veronica “Bonnie” Brown Morton, who survives and the son of Jack Henry Morton and Mozelle Thompson Morton, both deceased. Mr. Morton was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a retired carpenter. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Morton Mansfield and husband Tommy of Charleston, SC and Holly Leigh Corbett and husband Stacey of Burlington; brother, Jack Morton, Jr. and wife Michelle of Burlington; two sisters, Becky Everett and husband Ralph of Raleigh and Ann Culberson and husband David of Matthews; and four grandchildren, Karissa Corbett, Katie Mansfield, William Mansfield and Braedyn Corbett.

A Celebration of Mike’s life will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Norman Fargis with the family receiving friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
