Michael K. Moore

Mr. Michael K. Moore, 72, of McLeansville passed away at the Hospice Home on Monday, April 15, 2019.

Mr. Moore was born in Sidney, NY and raised in Oxford, NY. He was the husband of Helen Robeson Moore, who survives and the son of Marshall K. Moore and Nettie Boggs Moore, both deceased. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War and a member of the VFW Post 10607. He was Vice President of Facilities at LabCorp. He was a member of St. Mark’s Church.

In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a daughter, Shannon Denise Champion and husband Rodney of Haw River; step-daughter, Janie Ford and husband Matt of Whitsett; step-son, Jeff Smith and wife Mary Jordan of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Jake Ford, Nick Ford, Wren Smith and Ollie Smith; brother, James Moore and wife Evonne of Amery, WI; one nephew; and one niece.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Ronald Buchanan with the family receiving friends immediately following the service.
