Mr. Mike Hartley, 63, of Haw River passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Debra Smith Hartley, who survives and the son of Doyle and Irvine Hartley, both deceased.  He was the owner of Hartley’s Kustom Electric. Mike was a songwriter, accomplished guitarist and musician. He played in numerous bands over the past 40 plus years loving and playing his original music. Mike was a passionate supporter of Jon’s interest in skateboarding and supported numerous other skateboarders nationwide.

In addition to his wife, Debbie of their home, survivors include his son, Jonathon “Jon” Hartley of their home; sister, LaJuana H. Adams (Wayne) of Burlington; his “Mom”, Reba Rhodes of Burlington; and his “Princess”, Victoria. Mike was affectionately known as “Uncle Mikey” to his many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. by Jeff Haney. Burial will follow at Mebane Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, friends are urged to make any contributions to assist the family with final expenses.
