Matthew "Matt" C. Beckwith

Matthew “Matt” C. Beckwith, 66, of Yanceyville, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.

A native of Traverse City, Michigan, Mr. Beckwith was the husband of Janice “Jan” Helms Beckwith and the son of the late John Joseph Beckwith and the late Dorothy Ann Shearer Beckwith.

Mr. Beckwith retired from the City of Burlington as a Civil Engineer. He attended the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where he was a former Boy Scout leader. He was also a member of the Caswell County Ruritan Club and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

In addition to his wife, Jan, of the home, Mr. Beckwith is survived by a daughter, Juanita E. Ayadi and her husband, Ala, of Mebane; two sons, Kris E. Solomon and his wife, Kendall, of Charlotte, Joseph Beckwith and his wife, Debbra, of Durham, two grandchildren, Nicholas Solomon and Lillian Beckwith; two sisters, Barb Ashofteh and her husband, Hossain, of Avon, Ohio, Suzy Widdowson and her husband, Gene, of La Grange, Ohio; three brothers, Michael Beckwith and his wife, Peggy, of Avon Lake, Ohio, Pat Beckwith and his wife, Lori, of Avon, Ohio, and Tim Beckwith of Berlin Heights, Ohio.

The family will receive friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Crematory in Graham, Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

There will be a funeral service Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. There will be a viewing from 1:30 until 2:00 at the church prior to the service.
