Mrs Mary H Wagoner

Mary H. Wagoner, 74, of Whitsett passed away at her residence on Thursday, April 1, 2021 following one year of declining health.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Don Wagoner, who survives and the daughter of Leo Huffines and Maude Jordan Huffines, both deceased. She worked for many years in the Literary Program at Alamance Community College. Mary was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church in Gibsonville for years and St. Mark’s Church in later life.

In addition to her husband of their home, survivors include a daughter, Lisa Phillips and husband Keith of Suwanee, GA; grandson, Steven Veiga of Roanoke, VA; granddaughter, Natalie Wolf and husband Tim of Ball Ground, GA; grandson, Nicholas Phillips of Suwanee, GA; sister, Judy Huffines Reese of West Jefferson, NC; and brother, Douglas Huffines and wife Carol of Burlington.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. John Shields with the family receiving friends from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Entombment will be at the Mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park. Other times, the family will be at the residence.
