Mary Ann Lynch

Mrs. Mary Ann Chappell Lynch, 64, of Graham passed away at Green Valley Hospital in Greensboro on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late James Allen “Jimmy” Lynch and the daughter of James Claiborne Chappell and Betty Louise Sykes Chappell, both deceased. She retired from UNC at Chapel Hill. Mary Ann was a member of the Burlington H.O.G. Chapter and Burlington Shag Club. She was also a member of Davis Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two step-daughters, Christy L. Gantos and Misty Lynch; step-son, David Lynch and wife Mary; two sisters, Janice Whitesell and Linda Mitchell; seven step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Alamance Memorial Park.
