Mary Clapp Howell

     Mary Clapp Howell,  89, of Snow Camp,  passed away on Friday 11/12/2021 at her residence.  A native of Chatham County,  she was the wife of the late Charles S. Howell and the daughter of Lonnie R. Clapp and Annie Ellis Clapp,  both deceased.

     Mary was retired from AT&T and belonged to Ireland Street Chapel.  She graduated from E.M. Holt High School and attended Piedmont Bible College.

     She is survived by a son, Charles S. Howell, II, of the home; her daughters, Rhonda Lewallen and her husband, David Norton of Siler City and Cheryl Thacker and her husband, Dolphus Thacker, Jr., of Liberty.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

     A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday 11/17/2021 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington.  Mr. J. Eddie Schwartz will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m.,  immediately prior to the service.
