Evelyn Smith Euliss, 87, of Burlington passed away at the Coble Creek Healthcare Center at Twin Lakes on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 1:50 p.m.
A native of Ashe County, she was the wife of the late Melvin C. Euliss and the daughter of Washington Cephas Smith and Minnie Belle South Smith, both deceased.
Mrs. Euliss was a retired employee of Kayser-Roth. She was a member of Round Knob Baptist Church of West Jefferson and attended the First Baptist Church of Alamance.
Survivors include a daughter, Melvalyn Euliss Pate and husband Jeff of Burlington; brother, Washington Cephas Smith, Jr. of Graham; two granddaughters, Lindsey Allred and fiancé Mitchel Weide and Allison Allred; step-granddaughter, Lauren Holden and husband Seth; step-great-granddaughter, Hunter Holden; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 6 until 8 p.m. Other times they will be at the residence of the daughter, Melvalyn Pate.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery.
