Mary Dot Dalrymple Jackson

Mary Dot Dalrymple Jackson, 91, of Burlington went home to be with Jesus on June 1, 2023 at AuthoraCare Hospice Home. She was born in Guilford County to the late Clarence B. Dalrymple and Espie Soots Dalrymple and was married to Dan H. Jackson for 71 years.

Dot retired from the N. C. Department of Transportation and was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church. She attended Burlington Business College. Dot enjoyed fishing at the Outer Banks, watching the Atlanta Braves baseball, bus tours, Carolina basketball, and working puzzles.

Dot is survived by her son, Timothy Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan H. Jackson; her parents; sisters, Adell Lewis, Elizabeth Stinson, and Edna Carter; and brothers, C. B. Dalrymple, Jr., Carl Dalrymple, and Hal Dalrymple.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Clarence Toney, Rev. Kevin Brown, and Rev. Larry Redding with the family receiving friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
