Mrs Martha Emily Shoffner

Mrs. Martha Emily Shoffner, 97, of Liberty passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 4:52 a.m.

A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Howard Eugene Shoffner and the daughter of George Kecler Jones, Sr. and Georgia Shoffner Jones, both deceased. She retired from Allen Bradley and was formerly employed with Kayser Roth Hosiery in Alamance. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and involved with the Ladies’ Circle.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Shue and husband Mickey of Liberty; daughter-in-law, Kathy Shoffner of Liberty; two grandchildren, Emily Lanning and Lauren Greeson and husband Chris; five great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy Keyser and husband Bob; and sister-in-law, Kay Jones. She was preceded in death by a son, George E. Shoffner; brother, George K. Jones, Jr.; and sister, Peggy Woods.

The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Keith Edwards. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
