Mollie Wrenn Blum passed away at her home in Haw River, NC on April 26th after years of poor health.
Born October 1, 1942 in Wilmington, NC to William Edward Wrenn and Anne Pennington Wrenn she is preceded in death by her parents, Grand Parents Schumpert H. and Annie Green Pennington.: Sister Kathi Wrenn and Cousin Judy Mason.
Surviving are her son David Blum and wife Lisa, Brothers Eddie Wrenn (Jessie) of Alabama and Dwyght Bryan(Edith) of Mexico, her sister Paula Wrenn Noonan (Jim) of Lexington NC, and their families.
Mollie was an active and dedicated member of First Christian UCC and had been for over fifty years. Her most creative work there was her plan to provide seasonal gifts to be delivered to Meals On Wheels recipients and Christmas Shoe Boxes for Appalachia. She was a strong supporter of Burlington's Christmas Cheer.
She was generous to a fault, gave more than she had and drew joy from the giving.
A memorial service will be held at First Christian UCC on Church Street in Burlington on Sunday May 6th at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive friends in the Parlor of the church adjacent to the sanctuary from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Following the services at the church, Mollie’s ashes will be placed in the Columbarium at Pine Hill Cemetery.
