Marie Dawson Melton   

  Marie Dawson Melton, 85, of Graham, passed away on Thursday 3/12/2020 at Liberty Commons of Alamance.   A native of Alamance County, Marie was the wife of the late Belvin Webster Melton and the daughter of Johnny Wesley Dawson and Ethel Baldwin Dawson, both deceased.

     She was the owner and operator of Greenfield Family Care Home and a member of the First Baptist Church of Graham.

     She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Melton Turbeville, of Graham; her son, Belvin E. Melton and wife Catherine, of Mebane; sister Betty Dawson Clark and husband James, of Greensboro; grandchildren, Chastity Hill, Wes Turbeville, Shelby Turbeville, Laura Miller, Adam Blevins and 6 great grandchildren.  Marie was preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie W. Dawson; sister, Janet Dawson Allen and a grandson, Josh Blevins and a step-son, Rodney Melton.

     A service to celebrate Marie’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday 3/15/2020 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham.   Rev. Chris Howe will officiate.  Burial will immediately follow the service at Graham Memorial Park.

     The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
