Margaret Lucille Sutton Petty

Margaret Lucille Sutton Petty, 88, of Burlington, NC passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Howard J. Petty and the daughter of Lewis Marion Sutton and Myrtle Mae Williams Sutton, both deceased. She retired from Brown Wooten and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Petty Baker (Adam) of Four Oaks, NC and Donna Petty Terry (Rodney Sutton); sister, Jessie Sutton Lowe; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Cobb; sister, Patsy Sutton Garner; and brothers, Marion Sutton, Jr., Bobby Lee Sutton, William David Sutton, and Clyde Lewis Sutton.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
