Marcia Faydean Martindale Woods

Mrs. Marcia Faydean Martindale Woods, 93, of Elon passed away at Edgewood Place early Monday, August 13, 2018.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Howard C. Woods and the daughter of Garland Lee Martindale and Lillian Cecil Holt Martindale, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Drum and Mary Smeby.

Survivors include a niece, Ann Ballard and husband Pete; three nephews, Ronnie Smith and wife Betty, Cecil Smith and wife Phyllis and Cliff Smeby, Jr. and several grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews as well as her many close friends in Henderson, NV.

Fay was a member of Oasis Baptist Church in Henderson, NV and attended Altamahaw Baptist Church after relocating to North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Altamahaw Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
