Manie Williams Guthrie, 91, passed away at Transitions Hospice in Raleigh, NC on Friday, April 23, 2021.
Manie was born in Chatham County, NC to the late W. Ben Williams and Annie Mae Snipes Williams and was the wife of the late Hugh Woody Guthrie. She retired from Carlyle and Company in Greensboro and was a member of Orange Chapel United Methodist Church.
Manie is survived by her two children, Bobby L. Guthrie and wife Carolyn, of Raleigh, and Codi Dudley and Jenny Hammond, of Virginia; grandchildren, Bobbi Ingold and husband Travis, Meridith Reynolds and husband Andrew; great grandchildren, Toni, Traci, and Brooks Ingold, Madison and Mackenzie Foster, and Caelan, Hudson, and Jagger Reynolds; and her brother, Barry Williams and wife Clegg. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Sparrow and her brother, Rudolph Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham, NC. Officiating will be Rev. David King. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
