Malinda Aldridge King, 95, of Burlington passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022.
A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late George Lee King, Jr. and the daughter of the late Walter A. Aldridge and the late Lizzie Rudd Aldridge. Malinda formerly worked at Westpoint Stevens. She loved gardening, the coast, hosting family gatherings and was known for putting other’s needs before her own.
Survivors include her son, Wayne King with whom she made her home; daughter, Barbara Lashley and her husband Larry of Burlington; sister, Janice Andrews of Burlington; 4 grandchildren, Angelia Gallimore, Christy Mercer, Ronna Stewart and Tanner Norton; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Norton; sister, Ruby Jefferson; and brother, Loftin Aldridge.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at Pine Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 with the Rev. Steve Pruitt officiating.
