Mrs. Lucy Leigh

Mrs. Lucy Leigh, 77, of Elon, passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Friday, June 2, 2017.

A native of Abbeville, AL, she was the wife of William “Johnny” Leigh and daughter of the late John Ivey Doswell and Bessie Roland Doswell. She was retired from Leigh’s Stop and Shop and Leigh’s Recreation Center and of the Baptist Faith.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 6, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington.

Surviving, other than her husband of the home, are a daughter, Sherry Smith of Elon, two sons, Allen Leigh of Sneads Ferry, NC and Johnny Leigh of Ft. Smith, AR; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Leigh.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
