Linda Hawkins Stanley

Mrs. Linda Hawkins Stanley, 74, of Snow Camp passed away at Chatham Hospital in Siler City on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

A native of Mecklenburg County, she was the wife of David Stanley, Jr., who survives and the daughter of Rev. John Hawkins and Savola Jones Hawkins, both deceased. She was a former nurse and a lifelong member of Gibsonville Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include two daughters, Teresa Wicker and husband Robert of Oklahoma City, OK and Gena Cheek and husband David of Snow Camp; son, James Stanley and wife Kimberly of Snow Camp; sister, Frances Ridge of Gibsonville; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a brother, Lloyd Hawkins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
