Linda Mullen Braxton

Linda Mullen Braxton, 83, of Graham passed away at her residence on Sunday, November 19, 2023.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Jasper Howell Braxton and the daughter of Sidney Burgess Mullen and Virginia Albright Mullen, both deceased. She was owner and operator of a private home daycare. Linda was a former President of the Eli Whitney Ruritan Club and a 4H leader for many years. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Roach Braxton and husband Joel of Snow Camp and Tracy Lynn Lawson of Raleigh; two sons, Michael Braxton and wife Kim of Graham and Thomas Alexander “Alex” Braxton of Graham; seven grandchildren, Nathan Roach, Kristen Roach, Veronica Dodson Campbell and husband Tyler, Abegale Lawson, Malissa Braxton Griffin and husband Scott, Mason Braxton, and Reannon Braxton; one step-granddaughter, Lindsay Braxton Crutchfield and husband Jonathan; seven great grandchildren, Alston Stephens, Raiden Hubbard, Austin Coble, Paityn Stultz, Hope Whitfield, Oakley Griffin, and Stetson Griffin; three step-great grandchildren, Aubrey, Logan, and Natalie Crutchfield; three sisters, Patty Bunting, Carol Brown and husband Dennis, and Eunice Davis and husband Ronald; two brothers, Danny Mullen and Dennis Mullen; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bobby” Mullen and a special uncle, Tom Wiggins.

The funeral service will be conducted at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Other times, the family will be at the residence.
