Laura Michele Cobb

Laura Michele Cobb, age 49, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018 surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 21, 1968 in Burlington, North Carolina.

Michele was a graduate of Western Alamance High School and UNC-Wilmington. Her life’s work included teaching preschoolers and providing care for the elderly.

Michele is preceded in death by parents Laura “Polly” Cobb and Bobby Lewis Cobb.

Survivors include her beloved daughter Lindsay Peatross, siblings Debbie Petty and husband Milt, Pam Terry and husband David, Jeff Cobb and wife Bobbie, nieces Laura Kepley, Meredith Hughes, Hanna Terry, Bridget Thompson and nephews Gavin Cobb and Brandon Thompson.

A memorial service will be held at Lakeview Community Church, 101 Boone Road, Burlington, North Carolina 27217 on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2:00 PM by Rev. Gerald Sanders.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alamance Regional Cancer Center or to the Alamance Community Foundation, PO Box 726, Burlington, NC, 27216 for James Henry Joseph Hughes IV Memorial Fund.
