Kevin Arthur Welty, 54, of Burlington, North Carolina, entered peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, April 28th, 2018, with family by his side at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Kevin was born on September 16th, 1963, to the late Don and Myrna Welty. He was a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School in upstate NY (Class of 1981), and he received an Associate of Applied Science in Data Processing from Hudson Valley Community College. Kevin is survived by his sisters Deanna (Ollie) Hallet of South Walpole, MA, and Julie (Carl) Menge of Williamsburg, VA, and by his brother Darryl (Jennifer) Welty of Loudonville, NY. He is also survived by nieces Kaylin, Lauryn, Bailey and Abbigail, and nephews Matthew and Blake. Additionally, he has many beloved cousins, his Aunt Brenda and Uncle Sione, Aunt Elaine, Aunt Marilyn, Uncle Dave, and many dear friends in NC and FL. He also leaves behind his loyal cat/companion Lex. Kevin passed at 4:32pm and our mother’s birthday was 11/4/32, so we believe Kevin picked this exact time and our parents are welcoming him with opens arms. He was a very kind soul and always put others before himself. He most recently worked for Cisco Systems in Research Triangle, NC as a Network Engineer and he truly loved his job. He previously worked at Disney in Orlando, FL and loved to visit the Disney and Universal Studios Theme Parks. He also loved karaoke, poker, and all things horror and science fiction, but especially the original Star Trek and Dr. Who. There will be a Memorial Service for family and friends in upstate NY at a later date to be determined. Those who wish can make a donation in his name to Sparkle Cat Rescue in Burlington, NC.
