Kelsey Starr Severa

Kelsey Starr Severa, 33, of Greensboro, passed away at her current residence on Monday May 2, 2022.

Kelsey graduated from Northwest Guilford High School in 2007. She continued her education at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC before transferring to Guilford Technical Community College in 2010. After time off to gain work experience, Kelsey entered Leon’s Beauty School in Greensboro, NC where she graduated in 2019.

Kelsey’s most proud accomplishment was giving birth to her daughter, Callie Starr Sprinkle in 2017. She loved laughing, playing, swinging, swimming, and coloring with Callie. Some of their favorite times were going to the park and going to the beach.

Kelsey was a creative, charming, and outgoing free spirit. She embraced life with a passion. She was artistically talented and enjoyed cutting, styling, and coloring hair. She loved music, friends, her family and paying it forward. She touched many hearts in her short journey through life and we will treasure her memories forever.

Kelsey was the daughter of Mark and Cindy Severa of Greensboro, who survive. Other survivors include her daughter Callie Starr Sprinkle of Kernersville; a brother, Justin L. Forbes and wife Lindsey of Elon; a sister Hanna Severa Myers and husband Austin of Reidsville; 6 nieces and nephews; and her grandparents Darrell and Judy Holmes of Graham. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Warren and Joan Severa.

A celebration of life memorial will be held at Rich and Thompson Funeral home in Graham on Saturday, July 2nd at 11:00 AM. The family will be available to receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
