Sgt. Justin Marshall Thompson, 34, of Snow Camp passed away at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
A native of West Palm Beach, FL, he was the husband of Tiffany Clower Thompson, who survives and the son of Lawrence Lee Thompson, Sr. and Annette Goodrich Thompson, who survive. He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Army and a volunteer firefighter at the Snow Camp Fire Department. Justin was an active member of the American Legion Post 305. He was also a member of Cane Creek Friends Meeting. He made a difference in people’s lives by helping others.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include a sister, Crystal Frazier and husband Brent of Tampa, FL; brother Lawrence Lee Thompson, Jr. of Snow Camp; grandfather, James Marshall Goodrich of Snow Camp; two grandmothers, Gloria Cunningham of Snow Camp and Louise Thompson of Kannapolis; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other loved ones too numerous to name. He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Claudette Goodrich and Dorothy Castelli and two grandfathers, John Cunningham and Finley Thompson.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be conducted at Cane Creek Friends Church Cemetery on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. by Pastor Dina Clower and Dr. Cheryl Benson. Please observe social distancing protocol and bring a chair so you can attend the graveside memorial service comfortably.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 305, P.O. Box 662, Snow Camp, NC 27349 or to Snow Camp Fire Department, P.O. Box 577, Snow Camp, NC 27349. Both of these organizations were dear to Justin’s heart.
