Judy Patterson Crane, 71, of Graham, arrived in her Heavenly home, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Burlington after six weeks of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Paul Patterson and Anne Elizabeth Forbis Patterson, both deceased. She was employed with Baker-Cammack, Picket Hosiery Mill and Touched by an Angel. Judy was a member of the Alamance County Beautification Commission and Bellemont United Methodist Church. Judy was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Christian, who’s soul purpose in life was to take care of her family. She was a down to earth person who enjoyed the simple things in life, talking with friends, sitting on the front porch, spending time with her grandchildren, cleaning, going to church and reading God’s Word.
Survivors include her daughter, Leigh Doss and husband, Russell, of the home; two grandchildren, the apples of her eye, Hunter Doss and Skylar Doss, of the home; sister Narvia Ann Ipock and husband Phil, of Graham; and her two beloved dogs, Mike and Molly.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Edward “Pat” Patterson.
A Celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 at Bellemont United Methodist Church with the Rev. Farron Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times will be at the residence.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Alamance Regional Medical Center and Hospice of Alamance-Caswell.
John and Kay Doss, Howard and Brenda Ursery and the Boydstun family, thank you for your support, friendship, love and prayers. Russell Doss, thank you for your countless number of hours at the hospital and doctor’s visits. You were the son she never had and Judy loved you dearly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bellemont United Methodist Church, 4039 Markwood Rd., Burlington, NC, 27215.
