John Lindley, 68, of Snow Camp Road, Graham died at his home on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., after a long battle with Cardiac Amyloidosis.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Trish Lindley of the home; his parents, Wayne and Sarah Lindley of Graham; his son, Mark Lindley and wife Carrie of Richmond, Virginia; his daughter, Amy Wallace and husband Matt of Graham; eight grandchildren: Emma and Kate Lindley of Richmond, Virginia; Abby, Alaina and Alex McBride and Anna and Amelia Johnston of Graham; and Ally Wallace of Hawaii; and one foster brother, John Willardson of North Wilkesboro.
He was preceded in death by one foster brother, Paul H. Smith.
A native of Alamance County, John was an Operations Manager at H.W. Andersen Products in Haw River and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. John was an active musician in the community for over 50 years in local bands including The Alpacas, Missouri Hogshead and Civil Defense, and most recently was a member of the Front Street UMC Praise Band. He also formerly served as a member of the Army National Guard.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham. The funeral service will be conducted at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the church.
