Obituary

Mr. John “Johnny” Franklin Hadley, 79, of Burlington, NC passed away on Monday, June 15th, 2020 at 12:53 p.m. at Peak Resources-Alamance.

A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Walker “Pete” Edgar Hadley and the late Cladie Pickard Hadley. Johnny retired from the textile industry.

Johnny was a faithful member of Harvest Hills Church for 50 years. He was a loyal participant with the Church Usher Ministry, a member of the Men’s Ministry and Harvest Gold’s Senior Group.

Johnny had a passion for western movies and was an avid collector.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth W. Hadley; brother, Delbert L. Hadley (Janet) of Fork, MD; sister-in-law, Hazel W. Sharpe of Burlington; nieces, Donna Faye Way of Burlington, Barbara W. Rachel (Steven) and Deborah W. Bradshaw (Dylan) of Graham; great-niece, Heather B. Wolford (Ron) of Gibsonville; great-great nephews, Tanner and Colt Wolford of Gibsonville.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by one brother; six sisters; family friend, John H. Bonds.

A private service will be held at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington on Friday, June 19th, 2020 by Dr. Russell Morris.
