John Louis "Lou" Foust

Mr. John Louis “Lou” Foust, Sr., 91, of Graham passed away at his residence on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 7:28 p.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of almost 70 years to the late Savana Catoe Foust, and the son of the late Phyllis Foust. Mr. Foust was a veteran of the U.S. Army and went on to play professional baseball for 6 years.  He owned Lumark Tire in Greensboro, N.C.  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Graham.

Mr. Foust loved the Lord with all of his heart and lived his life with a strong faith and prayer life. Truthfully, he loved everyone he met and if you were blessed enough to know him, I’m sure you were given a hug and told that you were loved.  He had the heart of Jesus. This world was a better place with him in it, now Heaven is sweeter with him Home.  He left behind a legacy, not of riches, but of Love, that can only come from knowing Jesus!

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Wolfe and husband Larry of Graham; a son, Johnny Foust of Graham; grandchildren, Stania Wolfe, Christian Wolfe, and Drew Foust; three brothers, Tommy Teague, Steve Teague and Randy Teague; sister, Jane Ferrell; three step-grandchildren, Larry Wolfe Jr., Jeff Wolfe, Chris Wolfe and 14 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at Bethel Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. David Jackson and Rev. Kevin Barbour with the family receiving friends from 12:00 until 2:00 prior to the service. The committal service will follow in Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church Cemetery. At other times the family will be at the residence of his daughter, 405 Longdale Drive, Graham, NC.
