Jody Dayton Church
Jody Dayton Church, 47, of Burlington, passed away June 4, 2022. He was born on February 17, 1975 to Mack and Starr Church.
Jody’s most proud accomplishment was being the father to his 4 year old son Dayton, and a wonderful and loving husband to Stacy for 16 years. He was the best Dad to Dayton. As a family we loved to play music together, wrestle and play outdoors. He was both of our best friends.
Jody was such a loving, compassionate and forgiving man. Jody loved passionately, and if you were ever blessed enough to be Jody’s friend, you had a friend for life. He was willing to help anyone if he could. When he would walk in a room, he would brighten up the room. Jody had a great love for music and loved to play music with his friends.
Jody is survived by his wife, Stacy and son Dayton Church. His mother Starr Church and brother Chris Church (Theresa Collins).
Jody touched many hearts through his life.
Therefore, please take a moment to write a fond memory of Jody that we can place in a memory book for his son Dayton. In order for Dayton to know his legacy, and the amazing father he had in years to come.
He is preceded in death by his father, Swanson Mack Church.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Jody Dayton Church will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday 6/12/2022 in the cemetery at Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of the church immediately following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an account for Dayton Daniel Church at State Employees Credit Union.
