Jesse James Williams, 66, of Mebane, died Friday, January 18, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington.

A native of Durham County, Mr. Williams was the husband of Mary Davis Williams and the son of the late W.A. Riggsbee and the late Margie Williams Riggsbee.

Mr. Williams was a retired mechanic for Chapel Hill Country Club and was an avid member of The Tarheel Nation. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and barbecue.

In addition to his wife, Mary, Mr. Williams is survived by his son, Robert James Williams and his wife, Ashley, of Haw River; his daughter, Jennifer W. Blackwood and her husband, Forrest, of Mebane; five grandchildren, Ella Grace Blackwood, Levi Blackwood, Madison Williams, Porter Williams and Colby Williams; two sisters, Carol Riggsbee and Deborah McDuffy and an uncle, Mack Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Grace Williams and grandfather, Thomas Arthur Williams.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 21, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery.
