A native of Upper Montclair, New Jersey, Mrs. Parsons was the wife of the late William Eugene Parsons and the daughter of the late Charles Walter Hamilton and the late Irene Lucile Hamilton.

She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Goucher College in Towson, Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. While there, she met and married her husband Bill, a midshipman at the United States Naval Academy.

She was a member of both the Burlington Junior Woman’s Club and Burlington Woman’s Club, and her efforts in both clubs spanned decades. She served as an office in both groups. She was active in so many ways that benefited the local community. One example is the work that led to the development of the Town and Country Nature Park.
