Janice Bennett Stutts
Janice Bennett Stutts, 82, of Graham, passed away on Friday 4/16/2021, at her home, surrounded by her family. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Charles M. Stutts and the daughter of Chalmers N. Bennett and Lenora Linens Bennett, both deceased.
Janice was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham and retired from the Alamance County School System, where she was an assistant Kindergarten teacher at North Graham Elementary for over 20 years. She was lovingly referred to by her colleagues as “Mrs. Nuts” and most certainly lived up to the name.
Janice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was adored by her family. She is survived by her daughter, Leigh Stutts Holt and her husband, Franz, of Graham; her sons, Charles Bennett Stutts, of Burlington and David Christopher Stutts and his wife Kelly, of Burlington. Also surviving are seven grandchildren. Janice was preceded in death by her only sister, Anna Bennett Rainey.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 4/20/21 at Graham Memorial Park. Dr. Steve Braswell will officiate.
Friends and family are invited to come to the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham on Monday, 4/19/2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. to sign the guest book and spend a few moments with Janice.
