Janet (Haga) Medley

Mrs. Janet Haga Medley, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on  Sunday, February, 14, 2021, at Brookdale Memory Care. Janet was born in Chilhowie, VA, on April 6, 1937, to the late Jack and Bessie Hart Haga.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wilford Pat Medley; two sons, Dr. Mark Medley and wife Maria of Georgetown, KY, and Jonathan Medley and wife Brandi of Burlington, NC; a grandson, Jacob Medley of Georgetown, KY. She is also survived by a brother, Don Haga (Bonnie) and a sister Sharon Thompson (Craig); also, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Janet graduated from National Business College, Roanoke, VA, and was employed several years at Southwestern State Hospital, Marion, VA. She retired in 1999 from Alamance County with 20 years of service. She was a founding member of New Covenant Fellowship Church where she served many years as Church Clerk and Sunday School Teacher.

Her family expresses their heart felt gratitude to the staff at Brookdale Memory Care, Burlington, NC for caring for her with love and compassion. They also want to thank AuthoraCare for extra comfort and care.

A private service to celebrate her life will be livestreamed to the public on the New Covenant Fellowship Church Facebook page, (www.ncfcgraham.org) beginning at 12:30 PM, Thursday, February 18, with Rev. David Neff officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Park.
