Janet Marie Apple

On August 6, Janet Marie Ingram Apple of Carolina Road departed her earthly home and woke up in the presence of her Lord and Savior, where she has a new body with no more pain or suffering and where she will walk on streets of gold for all eternity. We can only imagine the glorious sights she has seen and the joy she is experiencing while fellowshipping with family and friends who have gone before her.

Janet, for two years, fought a courageous battle with cancer never once complaining but always sharing her faith with the many doctors and nurses who treated and took care of her.

Janet was born and raised in California where as a teenager she met Larry Davis Apple, a Burlington, NC native serving in the U. S. Navy. They later married and moved to Burlington to raise their family. Home to Janet was wherever her family was. Janet loved to cook, plant flowers and spend time with her sons and their families.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Jennie Bullard and Cecil Ingram; her husband, Larry Apple; and a brother, Ronnie Ingram. Left to cherish her memories and her love are her three sons, Davie of Atlanta, GA, Joe (Lisa) of Naples, FL and Tim (Lisa) of Haw River; eight grandchildren, DJ, Dylan (Justine), Dalton, Donovan, Michael, Kyle (Haley), Katelyn and Logan; six great-grandchildren, Payton, Joseph, Layla, Sarah, Maddox and Austin; a special brother-in-law, Wayne Apple; a special sister-in-law, Jo Helms and her husband Clyde; and many numerous nephews and nieces.

To honor Janet’s wishes, there will be no service, but the family will meet together for a time of fellowship and remembrance and a celebration of her home going at 2230 Carolina Road, Burlington, NC 27217. Friends are welcome to come join the family on Saturday, August 11, 2018.
