James “Jim” Faircloth, 88, of Burlington passed away at AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home on Sunday, October 18, 2020 following a brief illness.
A native of Rockingham County, he was the husband of Johnsie Hiatt Faircloth, who survives and the son of Robert Glenn Faircloth and Clara Mae Varner Faircloth, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jim was part owner and co-founder of Alamance Knit Fabrics and he was serving as President upon his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Davis Street United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a son, James Edward Faircloth, Jr. of San Ramon, CA and a sister, Bobbie Stafford. He was preceded in death by one son, Glenn “Drew” Andrew Faircloth and three sisters, Elizabeth Roof and husband Bud, Clara Moore and husband Arnold an Louise Rogers and husband Bill.
A private family graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Edgar DeJesus. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Family and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.
