James Edward Willard, Jr., 63, of Semora, passed away on Friday 2/19/2021 at his residence. A native of Forsyth County, he was the husband of Jo Ann Pearson Willard for over 40 years. He was the son of James Edward Willard, Sr. and Annie Ingold Willard, both deceased.

James Edward Willard, Jr., 63, of Semora, passed away on Friday 2/19/2021 at his residence. A native of Forsyth County, he was the husband of Jo Ann Pearson Willard for over 40 years. He was the son of James Edward Willard, Sr. and Annie Ingold Willard, both deceased.

James formerly worked in facility maintenance, specializing in HVAC systems. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also worked in taxidermy. One of his greatest joys in life was collecting and restoring old classic and antique cars. His greatest love in life was his own family and his church family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and church member. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife Jo Ann, he is survived by a daughter, Trisha Dawn Hatch, of Pelham; sons, James Edward “Buddy” Willard, III, of Eden, Danny Geronimo Chance, of Semora; a sister, Nellie Annette Vuk, of Burlington, along with 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his church family, whom he also loved so much. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Carol Willard Clark and Kathy Willard Anderson.

A private Memorial Service celebrating James’ life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday 2/28/2021 at Graham Bible Methodist Church. Rev. Jimmy Evans will officiate.
