James C. "Jim" Stallings

Mr. James C. “Jim” Stallings, 83, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 8:08 p.m.

A native of Mecklenburg County, he was the husband of R. Joanne Stallings, who survives and the son of Clarence Warren “Stall” Stallings and Sarah Lowery Stallings, both deceased. Jim was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving from 1959 to 1964. He retired from Burlington Industries Transportation Division. He was of the Presbyterian faith.

In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include a daughter Nancy Amis Allison of Graham; two sons, Jeff Amis of Raleigh and Randy Stallings and wife Lorraine of Mebane; brother, Sammy Stallings and wife Jean of Burlington; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 12:45 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
